September Faith Action Forum: GBV Strategy 2030

At this time of season-change, we in the faith sector are also feeling the winds of change – These are exciting times!

Join us for this month’s Interfaith GBV Forum where we will unveil the Interfaith GBV Prevention and Mitigation Strategy 2024-2030.

The strategy has emerged from a 6-month organic consultation process amongst diverse faith sector scholars, activists and leaders, as well as NGOs working in the faith sector.

It is an attempt to unite a growing progressive faith sector movement that has recognised the seriousness of gender-based violence in all its forms, including femicide as well as spiritual abuse. GBV is perhaps the most fundamental and enduring social challenge in South Africa today, and one that faith institutions ignore to our peril.
